1 this evening on the Witham, about 1km north of Tattershall bridge. Perhaps the one at Fiskerton which hasn't been reported recently?

A colleague reported seeing a Swan with a yellow beak in the Tattershall Bridge area 3 weeks ago. Not seen the Fiskerton Fen Whooper for months.

Hi
Don't like being the bearer of bad news, but the Fiskerton Hooper has been dead for some time (April or May). It certainly could not fly very well latterly and the body looked as if it had been predated, probably by a Fox? There are still some feathers on the side of the footpath.
Malcolm.

Sounds like a true case of the two-bird theory.
