Exceptionally high tide brought lots of waders on to the reserve.

Highlights; 22 species of wader including 12 Curlew Sands, 6 Little Stints, 1 Wood, 3 Green and 2 Common Sands, 5000+ Blackwits, 800+ Ringed Plover.

An aerial battle between a Merlin that had caught a small wader and a Hobby which tried to rob the Merlin was exciting stuff.

None bird highlight was a large and very bright blue butterfly which we are pretty sure was an Adonis Blue. Lots of Common Blues nearby for comparison.
