I was invited to see a Wryneck in a private garden in North Somercotes this afternoon. It was first seen yesterday. It was actively feeding on ants on the lawn quite close to the house windows and a comprehensive series of photographs was obtained. My thanks to the owners whose privacy I must respect. |

The Wryneck's stay in the garden lasted from 24th to 28th August. |
