Didn't see the Lesser Spotted Hayes on our long walk around the reserve today. (muscles aching)
Didn't see the Short-toed Lark either - all we saw at the yellow fish box was a couple of cabbage whites
Did have some good birds though
Andrew Vaughan and myself had brilliant views of the Tawny Owl (just two days after hearing my first of the year outside my bedroom window). It was also calling regularly.
You should have stay another two minutes Derek!
