An evening visit to look at roosting terns produced 116 Sandwich Terns and 57 Common Terns mainly amongst hauled out seals at the south end. 2 Fulmars and 3 Arctic Skuas flew south at sea. Amongst the waders onshore were 15 Curlew Sandpipers (12 juveniles and 3 adults) and 8 Whimbrels. On the flashes were 3 Common Sandpipers, 2 Green Sandpipers and a Ruff. |
