Set off fairly early with the intention of seeing the wryneck at Frampton and then going for the short-toed lark at Gib Unfortunately it took a little to long to find and then to view the wryneck so I abandoned the trip to Gib The wryneck showed really well well when it eventually showed spending about half an hour in the open before heading further along the path towards Cut End. Last I saw of it was just the Boston side of the cottage on the other side of the river that has the small car-park at its side Other highlights at Frampton were curlew sandpiper 2 (that number paled into insignificance compared to the 66 at the reservoir at Freiston later in the afternoon) little stint 2 (4 at Freiston) spotted redshank 1 little ringed plover 5 ringed plover 20 common sandpiper 1 snipe 9 greenshank 2 (39 at Freiston) ruff 22 avocet 4 little egret 10 pink footed goose 1 brent goose 1 hobby 1 kestrel 1 little owl 1 linnet 100 garganey 1 wigeon 200 teal 200
