We watched it sat on a post for about 2 hours then it took of flying high and headed south so looks like its on it way home Rob/Neil |

Hi James. The Osprey sat on a post on the outer marsh, preening and ignoring the mobbing by two female marsh harriers for a couple of hours from 1610hrs to 1800, when it took off in a very determined southerly direction. Regards, Neil |

Thanks Neil, The reason I ask, was that i spotted 2 raptors flying in from over the Humber around 2ish this afternoon and were heading due south along the A16. I was in my office and only just saw them as they flew over and as I ran to the other side they were flying directly into the sun so had no chance to make a proper Id but did get the impression that at least 1 was an Osprey. I didn't get enough of a view to confirm it as a record but seems there is a chance that your bird might have been one i saw. James |
