With a few comfort breaks 11 hours at the bridge view point; just 40 minutes of heavy rain in spite of the appalling forecast. Fairly steady birding but always suggested some potential; Bonxie one west over bridge am, Gannet 2 juvs, Teal moving all day with a minimum of 750 birds but 350 on the Humber in the evening so possibly up to 1000, Wigeon 94 west, Pintail 12 west in total, Common Scoter two flocks of 33 and 48 this evening, Med Gull first winter over low tide, Pomarine Skua adult pale morph with full spoons, Peregrine adult male on bridge tower flying out and catching dragonflies in a brief bright spell this evening. |

Single dark phase Arctic Skua flew inland this morning and 9 Common Scoter tonight. Common Sand, Whimbrel and an almost total lack of hirundines, usually a few thousand at this time, 17 Black tailed Godwits were all juvs |
