First survey completed today with NO winter thrushes recorded....

For more details see http://www.bto.org/volunteer-surveys/winter-thrushes

Pity I wasn't recording robin's as there was a minimum c25 recorded calling in and around Fulbeck today.

I went for an 8 mile walk around Market Rasen/Tealby/Walesby yesterday and heard a minimum of c20 Robins calling or singing. Bearing in mind the inland location, would these be recent arrivals or local birds that have had a good breeding season?

2 Redwing feeding on hawthorn berries on a hedge in West Ashby this morning, my first of the autumn and it definitely feels autumnal this morning!
