101013 Sea Watch 0715 to 1045 and 1400 to 1630, most of it with JPS. Visibility was pretty grim!! Somewhat disappointing considering!! Day totals Gannet No count in morning but afternoon count of 57N and 28S Sandwich Tern 8N 3S Common Tern 2N Arctic Tern 2N 1S Commic Tern 2S Sooty Shear 15N Manx Shear 7N 2S Shearwater sp 5N Bonxie 2S Arctic Skua 1N 2S Skua sp 7S 2N Little Gull 8N Kittiwake 21S Auk sp 10N RB Merg 1S Common Scoter 30 on sea, 22N Eider 1 drake on sea Wigeon 15S Teal 8N 2S GC Grebe 1 on sea then N RT Diver 1N 2S Grey Wag 1S Lap Bunt 1S (JPS) Redwing 74S Brambling 18S Merlin 1 along beach Peregrine 1 hunting out at sea Swallow 2S 3N A Stoat was at the top of Mill Hill early on Cheers Nige |

I was in a sheltered site in Mablethorpe from 0750 hrs to 0920 hrs most movement was fairly distant and unidentified , a few waders , wildfowl and 2 manx shearwaters came by within 800m as did 2 bonxies, 5 skylarks came in low over the large waves. rather disapointing given the wind . regards John |
