There was a sizeable fall of Thrushes from 0945 with birds (mainly Redwing) coming in/off and dispersing all over the NNR. I logged about 2200 Redwing and estimate a minimum of 1500. Numerous flocks of between 40 and 500 birds were seen with the largest flock of about 800 heading south along the West Dunes. A few Fieldfare and Song Thrush were also seen. 8 Brambling also around. 3 Swallow went south. A Ring Ousel was in the East Dunes with 30 Redwing in the afternoon. Single Goldcrest were at Mill Hill and North Car park. Cheers Nige |
