Still quite a few birds about despite a general departure of migrants. At the south end, the best birds were 2 Richard's Pipits on a rough grass field south of the coastguard cottages and next to the dunes. Also of interest were 510 Pink-footed Geese and 7 Whooper Swans which flew south and an Arctic Skua and 4 Swallows north along the beach, and Merlin, Woodcock and Mealy Redpoll. Between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall, Phil Espin reported another 4 Whooper Swans, 17 Barnacle Geese, 3 Jack Snipe and a Great Grey Shrike, and 2 more Great Grey Shrikes near the NW corner of the realignment site.
