Gib 171013 Vismig not as busy as yesterday, Mill Hill from 0720 to 1000. Linnet 54S Redpoll sp 65S Ripit 36S Mipit 12S Greenfinch 35S Goldfinch 85S Brambling 36S Chaffinch 32S Siskin 52S Reed Bunt 13S Tree Sparrow 36S Lap Bunt 1S Yellowhammer 3S Grey Wag 2S Alba Wag 12S Skylark 86S Rook 6S GS Pecker 2S Mistle Thrush 10S Hen Harrier Ringtail over NSM early doors Common Buzzard 1S along ED Sprawk 1S and 2 around Measure’s as usual WOODLARK 1S Great Grey Shrike 1S high along ED at 0745 then dived down near Obs. Another or same GGS seen near North Building at 1530 Odd Redwing, Song Thrush and Fieldfare were coming in/off in single figures. Pinkfeet 4 skeins totalling 168 birds towards Norfolk 4 distant Swan sp went north distantly over CM, possibly Whooper’s? Woodcock 1 RICHARD’S PIPIT still around Millenium Ridge Pied Fly and Yellow-browed Warbler still in sycamores opposite SF entrance together with 4 Chiffchaff and 6 Goldcrest There was a southerly movement of hirundines mid afternoon. After a call from KMW who had 25 along East Dunes I went to Mill Hill where I had 94 Swallow and 12 House Martin south. I reckon quite a few had probably moved through before I got there 2 Greenshank were on the Mere late afternoon Cheers Nige |
