Dawn till dusk birding produced a total of 104 species
Highlights of the day; European White-fronted Goose 1, with the Pink-foot flock, in the field over the river, viewed from 'the hump'. Pink-footed Goose 250 Great White Egret 1 (Flew over the New Saltmarsh and disappeared in a creek out of site) Bullfinch 7 (5 south) Jay 1 (Plantation) Firecrest 1 (Plantation) Green Woodpecker 1 Corn Bunting 2 west Yellowhammer 1 south Whooper Swan 123 south Short-eared Owl 1 Hen Harrier 2 (a male and a ring-tail into roost) Marsh Harrier 1 Water Rail 2 (1 Mere, 1 Tennyson) Peregrine 1 (Adult female) Swallow 1 south Ringed Plover 3 (On the wash) Red-breasted Merganser 2 (south) Bonxie 1 south Plus the usual stuff
