Wet, blustery and then bright and sunny this afternoon.
A few roving tit flocks included groups of up to 8 Long-tailed Tits and a Goldcrest or two tagging along. A small group of Blackbirds around some hawthorns was joined by a single Redwing which showed very well. Selected counts from the lakes include:
Red-crested Pochard - the drake present with his hybrid mate. Shoveler - 2 Wigeon - 56 Gadwall - 31 Tufted Duck - 43 Great crested Grebe - 5
