A small arrival, particularly of thrushes, was apparent in the lighter wind. 60 Fieldfares and 40 Redwings made brief stays before leaving to the SW and there were at least 60 Blackbirds in the bushes. 220 Starlings came in from the sea as did a Goldcrest, a Woodcock and a party of 6 Common Snipe. Also on the dunes were 30 Twite, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Barn Owl and 3 Common Buzzards. 17 Whooper Swans on the flashes and 9 Pinkfeet on the fields where a Peregrine was feeding on a Black-headed Gull.
