Plenty of water but not too many birds 32 wigeon 2 kestrel 1 common gull 7 black headed gulls 3 mute swan 2 red legged partridge 1 grey heron 500 wood pigeon (in air some distance away from reserve) 100+ pink-footed geese (probable) 1 starling 1 sparrowhawk Moments after noting the presence of the starling there was one bird less to count as a sparrowhawk helped itself to dinner. |
