Two hour circular walk in still and frosty conditions around Marton and Trent Port this morning produced 54 species including:
Fieldfare 500 (feeding in fields and hedges)
Redwing 250 as above.
Brambling 1 male (with the fieldfares)
Lesser redpoll 1
Siskin 1
Linnet 50
Reed bunting 6
Skylark 18
Yellowhammer 2
Tree sparrow 2
Bullfinch 5
Golden plover 230 west
Snipe 3
Mallard 40
Wigeon 2
Teal 6
Kingfisher 1
Great black-backed gull 40 north
Green woodpecker 1
Great spotted woodpecker 2
Buzzard 1
Sparrowhawk 1
