Post subject:  Blackcap

I did a couple of hours birding from my allotment this morning and had 23 species. The star was a nice male Blackcap. The birdtrack reporting rate for blackcap last week was only 0.66% so they are pretty scarce at the moment. Has anybody else had one lately?

The other interesting birds were a cracking male Bullfinch calling vigorously (BT 16% at the moment )and a Song Thrush (20%).

Its interesting to see the UK reporting rate of what you are seeing at the moment and you can do that here http://blx1.bto.org/birdtrack/main/data-home.jsp by typing in the name of the species you are interested in.
