Started off looking good but persistent rain from 1100 meant I saw sense at 1400! Day total of 57 sp. Didn’t get chance to check the sea or any waders due to driving, horizontal rain and sand blasting. Birds of note were:
Whooper Swan 52 went south at 0740. Another 4 went south later and there were flocks of 10 and 16 in fields across CM. Total of 82 birds
Bewick’s Swan. 1 in field across CM with the 10 Whoopers.
Mute Swan 8 in fields across CM
Barn Owl 1
Snow Bunt 1 over WVP
Fieldfare 2 in Plantation and 10 in WD
Little Grebe 1 on Mere and 1 on TS
Wigeon 20 on TS
Teal 120 on TS
Mallard 50 on TS
Shoveler 24 on TS and 20 on pool near Tern Hut
Pochard 3 (2M and 1F) on TS
Water Rail 2 on TS
Golden Plover 2200
Lapwing (300)
Dunlin 1 on TS
Snipe 1 on TS
Chiffchaff 1 in Plantation

Cheers

Nige
