5000 Pinkfeet at Tydd St Mary's Marsh in a harvested sugarbeet field today. They have built up over the last few days from around 1000 at the end of December. They are in the field with the new wind turbines approx quarter mile east of the river Nene, near Tydd Gote. Difficult to count but more birds are dropping in during the day. Could be more than 5000! Still there today (Monday) at 2pm. Good views from the bottom of Railway Lane South, which is south of the A17 between Long Sutton and Sutton Bridge. |
