Deepings sort of like the Lincs equivalent of the Channel Islands to Britain, sort of part of it but distant and frequented only be people who live elsewhere

The glossy ibis was still present at c3pm today - viewable from the reserve car park - it was feeding in front of the artificial sand martin nesting bank when I was there.

I like the novel description of the Deepings...!!

Glossy Ibis still showing well this morning albeit intermittently in and out of the sedge clumps in front of the artificial sand martin cliff, from the car park.

Nearby 2 Whooper Swans with about 50 Mutes in Deeping Fen just inside Lincolnshire and at Baston Pits 5 Red Crested Pochard; 1 drake and four ducks.

The glossy ibis was present 07/01/2014, viewable from the reserve car park as it was feeding in front of the artificial sand martin nesting bank. During the hour I was there it also flew round the the site once.
