A good day on the patch, 44 species with the following highlights:- A skein of c350 Pink-footed Geese flew W at 13:10. 8 Goosanders, 1 on mere and 7 flew over. 2 Little Grebes on Catchwater drain. A covey of 11 Grey Partridges. 3 Buzzards. 1 Snipe flew in to mere. 1 Green Woodpecker. 1 Willow Tit with small flock of Blue & Great tits by main drain (1st record since 02/04/13). 1 Yellowhammer. |
