Yes, 1stW Great Northern. Bird originally seen on the opposite side of the lagoon in poor light and high wind superficially like BT, but better light and closer views revealed 1stW Great Northern Phil |

Bird still present this afternoon circa 14:55. Opposite side of the lagoon to the bird hide. Good views had from the bench at the bottom of the pathway to the bank. Lifer 217! ** Squees ** |

Just back from Frieston, (12.30 -2.30) Great Northern showing in open water on the lagoon, good views from hide and the bank around it. Also Brent Geese (1500) Golden Plover Redshank (20) Pintail (6) Wigeon (600) Teal Curlew (4) Little Egret Turnstone (2) Lapwing Goldeneye (6) Little Grebe (4) Greylag (40) Canada goose Mute Swan (2) Andrew |

GND still there around mid-day but I couldn't find it around dusk Thousands of birds on the reserve peregrine 1 kestrel 1 pintail 10+ golden plover c5000 lapwing c4000 scoter 10 eider 9 (6m 3f) black-tailed godwit 39 brent goose c1500 mallard c500 redshank c150 knot c1500 dunlin c1000 curlew c175 shelduck c5000 shoveler 12 teal c500 herring gull c200 black-headed gull c2000 tree sparrow 12 great crested grebe 3 (on the sea) starling 150 tufted duck 50 feral pigeon c 200 reed bunting 4 twite 2 little egret 24 mute swan 4 little grebe 12 |
