1st Winter Great Northern Diver Freiston RSPB reserve from hide this morning 09/01/2014.

(Editted at 1500hrs to save confusion, this bird was originally reported as BTD)

Yes, 1stW Great Northern. Bird originally seen on the opposite side of the lagoon in poor light and high wind superficially like BT, but better light and closer views revealed 1stW Great Northern

Bird still present this afternoon circa 14:55. Opposite side of the lagoon to the bird hide. Good views had from the bench at the bottom of the pathway to the bank.

Just back from Frieston, (12.30 -2.30)

Great Northern showing in open water on the lagoon, good views from hide and the bank around it.
