Definitely one possibly two Shorties at Dorrington Fen at approx 2pm, fairly distant and mobile so no photos I'm afraid. Also a large number of Buzzards, probably a dozen within a three mile radius with a very dark and a light morph among them.
Also the feeders at Hill Holt Wood are alive with birds with large numbers of Blue, Great and Coal tits, groups of up to 12 Long Tailed Tits, and Nuthatch and GS Woodpecker, sometimes in pairs. The resident female Sparrowhawk will normally zip through during the day, but you need a bit of lucky timing to see her. The great thing is that you can view them at about 3 metres through the full length windows of the cafe which is open on a Sunday. Birding and cake, what could be better!

Cheers,

Oliver.
