Fiskerton Scrapes (19.1.14): Little Egret(2), Heron, Common Sandpiper, Shoveller(11), Mute Swan(2), Lapwing(100), Magpie(2).

Hi Aidan
Did you get a good look at the Sandpiper as Green Sandpiper would be more likely at this time of year or even winter plumaged Spotted Sandpiper?

Dear Russell,

Unfortunately my view(with Binoculars) was from near the gate as it was impossible to get to the hide due to flooding. I surmised that it was a Common Sandpiper but your suggestions are equally plausible.
