Ed Chandler reported two Bearded Tit on the north side of Grebe Lake this morning (first Reserve record). Its blowing a gale at Whisby at the moment so not surprisingly no further sign, of them but I did flush a Bittern out of the reedbed!

While online received a third or fourth hand report of a Glossy Ibis yesterday in the pasture field at Whisby Garden Centre. Its not clear when this sighting was made but the field is clearly visible from the A46 on the western side, and usually has ponies and alpacas/llamas in it. Worth a careful look if anyones passing by. Needless to say no sign of anything either yesterday or today but the bird might still be in the area.

Cheers

Grahame

Spent a couple of hours Whisby garden center and the far north of Whisby nature reserve( on the field edges) couldn't find the ibis . 125 lapwing in ploughed field one dead heron ( no rings ) lots of gulls at the garden center. Very windy
