Post subject:  Saxilby-walk down to water works

Walk down this pm over farm fields to water works threw up following bits:

Green woodpecker-regular bird, sometimes pair, feeding on ants in short grass by the main path.
Buzzard
Pair of yellowhammer
Large fieldfare flock on crop field
Song thrush singing

Green woodpecker "regular" bird..sometimes pair..makes me smile about this unfair birding world..
GW is my bogie bird..never get to see any..i was telling some chap in a hide & he said he has them in the garden..aarrggghhhh..i must visit those water works..great report.
