RSPB group walk on Sunday morning around the above venues general stuff as expected.

At Swanholme 4 Goosanders ( 2males + 2 females ) , 3 Red Crested Pochard (2m + 1F) , 5 Shoveler. all the usuals Wigeon , Gadwall , Canada Geese and Greylags etc.

Spring must be in the air as two separate pairs of Great crested grebes were displaying .

On the first pit as you go through the gate into Swanholme SSSI . On sunday they were really close in , but you may well have to scan the whole pit . They can also appear on Hartsholme lake from time to time .
