Tonight we headed out at dusk to share the darkening sky with our crepuscular creepers. With Bird Group members stationed in strategic places we had our fringes wafted by a great phu-phumper. It phu-phumped to dropping jaws and 'did you hear that' stretching expressions...... With a dangle of dripping legs it was off, grabbing the air on straining wings, leaving circles erasing it's mirror reflection to climb into an orange based inky sky. The barn owl hunting in ear wax light stood us still but this close to black connection with the bittern will be on the inside our eyelids as we give way to sleep tonight. |
