20.03 On reading GPC's sighting for his local patch decided to give it a go with DJ. First port of call was the Sailing Pits, we got a single Scaup plus Goldeneye, Tufties, GC Grebe, Greylag, Coot, Oyk, Pochard, Mute Swan, Moorhen, Magpie and Crow.

Pit 25: Goldeneye, Tufties, GC Grebe...

Didn't expect to see or hear a Cetti especially in the strong wind but one gave a loud trill so we were well pleased! Thankfully it was close to the car :D

Far Ings old Visitor Centre:

Enjoyed the antics of the Magpie in the incessant rain plus 11 Curlew passed over.

A15 Barnetby Top to Barton Interchange:

Buzzard - 4
Peregrine - 1

Bonby Carrs: 18.00 - 18.40
on arrival dry but it soon chucked it down

Whooper Swan - 69 ( that's the most either of us have seen at one time)
Reed Bunting, Teal, Shoveler, Gadwall, Wigeon, Mallard, Shelduck, Kestrel, Oyk, BH Gull, singing Skylark, Redwing and Y/hammer.

Had a fantastic day out despite the weather, breathing the fresh air in and hearing the Cetti plus seeing the load of Whoopers.

Kind regards

JTG ably assisted by Dave Johnson :D
