Fairly quiet again at the south end, but a little more activity amongst the Linnets, Meadow Pipits and other commoner species. Most notable sightings were 2 White Wagtails, 4 Chiffchaffs, Goldcrest, Fieldfare, 2 very grey Song Thrushes, Corn Bunting, 6 Little Egrets, Marsh Harrier, Merlin, Peregrine, Sparrowhawk, Barn Owl and 2 Short-eared Owls.

From Stonebridge to Pye's this evening produced a flock of Twite numbering at least a hundred in the replanted hedge, a Corn Bunting was heard singing here, one Short-eared Owl and one stunning male Hen Harrier north of Pye's.

Regards
Mark.
