Pleasant walk but colder than I expected! Nice number of new arrivals: Willow Warbler 3 Chiffchaff 4+ Whitethroat 2 Swallow 20+ Sand Martin 3 Blackcap 2m & 2f Other good bits: Reed Bunting 1m Bullfinch 1m Kingfisher x 1 Mistle Thrush x1 Curlew x2 Long-tailed Tit x 3 Sparrowhawk x 2 G C Grebe x 2 Tufted Duck 9m 2f Lesser Black Backed Gull Mute Swan - usual pair but flock of 7 over Skylark 1 Plus 12 other usual suspects. First time I've broken 40 species this year Also 1 unidentified high flying 'harrier' flew NW at 0820 (too high and far away to get id). Cheers James |

James. Your harrier sp was a cracking ad male Marsh Harrier which flew over South Sea Lane Humberston at 08.15 heading towards the country park which is only a couple of miles to the north. |

Thanks Dave, it was over the golf course so can't claim it as CCP bird but nice to know anyway. Any chance of telling me what the large white bird i saw on Friday from the office? (Presumably it was a Little Egret but didn't look right) Cheers James |
