Post subject:  Horncastle Canal and River Bain

Early morning walk along Horncastle canal, (8.30 - 9.30 ) highlights were:-

Grey Wagtail 2 ( One on stonework below bridge over old river Bain course near
swimming pool. Second one was on 'debris raft' near boom off river Waring the other side of bridge.

Chiffchaff 4 ( 1 seen + 3 heard along canal.)
Pied Wagtail 2 ( On nearby cricket pitch.)

Mistle Thrush 1 ( searching for food on meadowland along canal. 0

Nice summer plumage male Grey Wagtail on the afore mentioned raft in Horncastle at 12noon today.
