A sunny, but blustery day produced a selection of singing warblers:
garden
willow
chiffchaff
blackcap
cettis (in bushes south side of Ness Pit)

Garden Warbler is at best a vagrant at Barton with 1 or 2 birds a year and never had an April record in 45 years: by contrast there are in excess of 40 singing male Blackcaps at present
3 Lesser Whitethroats, Reed, Sedge, Grasshopper, up to 40 Chiffchaffs, 20 Willow Warblers today

I couldn't catch sight of it, but I do know the difference in songs of the garden and blackcap, however, with no sighting, I'll put that down to a 'bubbly' blackcap.

Thanks Graham.
