There seemed to be fewer migrants in the colder conditions, nonetheless a party of 8 Wheatears was new along with a Fieldfare and 2 Ring Ouzels. Other birds of note included 3 Swallows, House Martin, Blackcap, Grasshopper Warbler, 2 Corn Buntings, 6 Little Egrets and a Common Buzzard. At sea, 8 Gannets flew north and 8 Common Scoters south. My first two Lesser Whitethroats were singing yesterday. |
