Two personal firsts for the spring were singles of Common Sandpiper and Turtle Dove. Other summer visitors south of the old coastguard cottages were 32 Common Whitethroats, (nearly all males), 7 Lesser Whitethroats, 3 Willow Warblers, 2 Chiffchaffs, 28 Swallows, 2 Sand Martins, House Martin, Cuckoo, Wheatear, 6 Yellow Wagtails and a Marsh Harrier. |
