Little Tern on raft at Boultham mere now. First record for the patch. |

Little Tern was present till 15:45 when it flew off W and had not returned by 17:10, also seen by Pete Scott who dashed over after my text. Also present 1 Hobby hunting insects for about 3 minutes and 1 Swift briefly. 2 Great Crested Grebes were the first of the year on the patch. The only other new migrant since my last posting was a Sedge Warbler early morning of 3rd May. On the 3rd I did the bird race finishing on 57 for the patch (34,499 steps walked on the day). These 3 new birds today bring my patch year list to 103. |
