HI Ian.
Enjoyed the Dotterel thanks but could only find 11 of them in the Pea field, next to shooting range.

Also had 5 Wheatear in Pea field & a mixed flock of c100 mainly Linnets, Greenfinch & Goldfinch. Plus 5 yellow Wagtail & 2 Pied Wags. along sea wall between Canal sluice & Northcoates Point.
5pm at least.

There was also a flock of exactly 20 which flew north through Donna Nook at 1155 this morning just ahead of heavy rain.

Two more Dotterel on the mudflats at Donna Nook this morning. This is the first time I have seen them on the open beach in spring, yet the rarer autumn birds often exploit the shore and outmarshes. There are no suitable fields within the census area this year. I managed to obtain some record photographs before they departed to the west and inland (towards the Wolds, Graham).
