A very rewarding evening. The highlight of the evening was a very elegant Wood Sandpiper which when temporarily disturbed by a Buzzard showed that the feet do project well beyond the tail in flight. Something that the books note when making comparisons with Green Sandpiper but I have rarely been fortunate enough to see! Other sightings that may be of interest during my visit include Little Egret 1 Common Tern 8 L R Plover 1 Redshank 1 Garden Warbler 1 Buzzard 1 |
