Whilst on the "Dambusters Walk" around R.A.F. Scampton on 25.5.14, we had reached the Hangers and Runway when I at first heard a Skylark singing away, and then the unmistakable call of a Curlew (possibly more than one). Is this unusual?

Curlew have bred in recent years on airfields in Lincolnshire such as Cranwell, Barkston and Fulbeck. Have one pair this year very close to Lincoln at South Hykeham.
