The map reference and post code quoted are in the middle of Scunthorpe! The grid ref for the bridge near Middleton Wood is SE943066.

Suggests the information service used a very general grid reference ! Not helpful,

Never heard anyone call it Middleton wood so presumably a non Lincs driver heading along the motorway at 70?

It is actually marked on an OS map (1 : 25000) as Middleton Wood!

Appreciate it is marked on the map but no-one local ever calls it that, hence my point that it was presumably no-one local who provided the information
