Highlights from this morning; Glossy ibis - now two on the wet grassland opposite the visitor centre Hobby - 1 Marsh harrier - 1 Garganey - female (the male is presumably also still about somewhere) Bar-tailed godwit - 250 Black-tailed godwit - 60 Ruff - 3 Spotted redshank - 6 Green sandpiper - 8 Little ringed plover - 14 Kingfisher - 1 Little gull - two 1st summers Turtle dove - two singing/purring along the Cross Bank (the far, south, side of the wet grassland) Lesser whitethroat - two singing near the ibis Cheers, John |

On Sunday when Andrew Vaughan and myself walked round we were told second-hand (I might add) that there were two birds. We were sceptical thinking that it was probably one bird seen in two places - so never say never |
