Its beginning to feel like the start of autumn again, especially in the misty conditions interspersed with regular banks of shore-bound fog. Out at sea this morning were 170 Common Scoters, 19 Shelducks, 5 Teal, a Red-throated Diver, 17 Cormorants, 70 Sandwich Terns, 2 Arctic Terns and 2 Arctic Skuas. The best birds on the dunes were 6 Yellow Wagtails, 3 Corn Buntings, 4 Mistle Thrushes, Cuckoo, Marsh Harrier and 3 Green Sandpipers.
