It was quiet at the south end earlier in the morning. A poor seawatch for one hour on the falling tide produced just 5 Teal north and 55 Sandwich Terns, one Common Tern and a Gannet south. Onland highlights were 3 Wheatears, juvenile Merlin, Marsh Harrier and Mediterranean Gull.

Today (25th) a short evening visit to the Stonebridge area in driving rain and poor visibility produced only 480 Oystercatchers, 4 Sandwich Terns, 5 Common Terns, Brent Goose and a Song Thrush.
