I note that there doesn't seem to have been a report of this bird since Saturday. Am I alone in wondering if this has left and briefly dropped in at Whisby on Saturday.
I also note that Roy Harvey has asked a similar question about the the pec sand

Chris,

The Whisby bird is probably more likely to be one of the Notts birds. There have been at least two wintering along the Trent valley. The nearest to Whisby at Langford Lowfields and Collingham pits both of which (or the same bird) go missing for a bit.

10am Friday 29th The Frampton Glossy Ibis was on the wet grass land in the corner between the sea bank and the path leading from the car park at the end of the road - on the North side of the path. It looks the same as in July with dark grey and white neck streaking, and a moderately glossy body. I haven't personally seen it for 2 weeks. Does the Whisby bird fit this description?

Cannot really comment because the Whisby bird upped and flew off very shortly after I saw it. It had been hidden behind some long grass for about ten minutes when I first arrived and it's location. It was also a fair distance away. Hence no photos. Graham Hopwood put some on Twitter I beleve
