Is car park a rough term Chris? In the week you could only park about 6 cars round the marvellous new roundabout as the million dollar car park was being dug up again after yet another Donna project up cock: the men in orange were also surrounding all the old concrete bunkers, sheds in the dunes with fencing: either it's too dangerous for today's visitors after 70 years or they are going to waste yet more public money destroying some good rain shelters.

Yep it's still parking around the roundabout only. I'm guessing they've realised they need to get the car park sorted before the seal circus arrives to prevent another mass mud bath. It will be interesting to see if they get it right this time - I'm not holding my breath!
As for putting fencing around the bunkers, I presume it's just health and safety gone mad and the bunkers are eventually to be removed - I've also used them many times to take cover from the elements. Funny how other concrete bunkers along our coast on public rights of way are fence-free though.
On the original plans for the realignment there were to be hides but I hear plenty of local opposition ended that idea.
Regarding the bushes and trees at Pyes Hall - it's the northern end of the bushes that are going to die first from the saltwater encroachment taking hold there now. You can no longer walk inland side to the end of the bushes without wellies.

Anyone asked if or Y they're removing bunkers? As already mentioned they've saved me getting very wet a few times
