An evening visit between Stonebridge and Pye's Hall was quite interesting. A Honey Buzzard, probably in from the sea, crossed the dunes and flew SW inland over the realignment area at 1910. 2 Marsh Harriers and a Peregrine were also here, and the Osprey was eating a fish on its regular pole. 5,000 Common Terns came into the roost along with 6,000 Black-headed Gulls, but I only picked out one Mediterranean Gull. Wader numbers were lower than of late, a Spotted Redshank being the most noteworthy. Ca. 50 Common Scoters north at sea and a Redstart and 4 Robins in the bushes at Pye's Hall.
