A circuit of the realignment area was made for the WeBS count in the company of Mick Luty and Chris Blake. Waders included 120 Dunlin, Curlew Sandpiper, 4 Little Stints, 6 Greenshanks, Spotted Redshank, 3 Avocets, 2 Ruffs and 550 Golden Plovers. A new record flock of 67 Little Egrets was present with 10 Grey Herons, and also singles of Pintail, Kingfisher, Marsh Harrier and Sparrowhawk. Fewer migrants were seen today, hence 14 Whinchats, 2 Pied Flycatchers, Spotted Flycatcher, Common Redstart, 3 Yellow Wagtails, Common Whitethroat and 3 Willow Warblers. 15 House Sparrows and 14 Tree Sparrows were also noteworthy.
