A fairly quiet WeBS count at the south end with no significant numbers of waders seen. In one hour at sea, there were just 12 Teal, 11 Cormorants and one Gannet heading north and 42 Sandwich Terns, 11 Common Scoters, 2 Fulmars and a Red-throated Diver south. Two Common Buzzards and 2 Sparrowhawks were on the dunes where grounded migrants included 10 Whinchats, 3 Wheatears, a Tree Pipit, 5 Willow Warblers, 2 Common Whitethroats and a Spotted Flycatcher. A Common Redstart was in my garden in the late afternoon.
